will neon.tech support scaling to zero? like no cost for compute?
Hi @kaivaan,
Neon is still in Technical Preview and only available with a free tier.
Currently, a compute node scales down to zero after 5 minutes of inactivity. You can find more about the compute lifecycle here Compute lifecycle — Neon Docs.
Scaling down to zero is enabled by default in the free tier. In the future, we plan to allow users to disable the feature to always keep a compute node running. Users will also not be charged for inactive compute instances.

Hi Raouf, Any update on free tier
Hi @shivling ,
We updated the free tier a few weeks ago. The Technical Preview Free Tier has the following limits:
- 1 Neon project
- 10 branches, with a limit of 3GB of data per branch
- 3 compute endpoints, each with 1 vCPU and up to 4GB of RAM (with 512MB of RAM allocated to PostgreSQL shared buffers)
- A point-in-time restore window of 7 days of reasonable usage
Is there anything you are looking for in the free tier?
